An American Metaphor: Brown and the Struggle for a Moral Racial Doctrine
SEF President Emeritus Elridge McMillan considers Brown as public contest in America's moral racial doctrine. “Race still matters," McMillan writes, "In fact, one could argue that race is the authentic barometer of our nation’s moral standard.”
Mr. McMillan served as a staff member and president at SEF for over 30 years. During this time, Southern education changed dramatically – often with the involvement of McMillan and SEF.
