We must realize that our advancement as nations, groups or individuals is not a measure of true progress if it only serves to increase the social and economic distance between ourselves and others who fall behind. Beyond Racism: Embracing an Interdependent Future - Overview Report (2000) |

|
This workbook on race and racism was developed and distributed at the Youth Summit of the 2001 World Conference Against Racism in Durban, South Africa. It attempts to help young people “think hard and long about what you understand about race and racism. Even more important, we ask you to decide what you can and will do --now and in the future -- to make a better world."
The workbook was re-issued in electronic form on New Year's Day, 2006.
